I met the four members of Picks Agency in 2018, in a cemetery in the province of Pavia, Italy. They were together, all dressed in black, standing very close to one another. There was an intimacy in the way they were together that stayed with me. We exchanged only a few words. Lola seemed particularly sad, deeply affected. Picks was there beside her, offering support. That day, I sensed something that already felt like a family.

A few years later, I ran into Sarah again in Les Goudes, Marseille. We exchanged contact details. She was looking for a place where she could photograph nature on her own, and had just begun her project In Natura Creo.

These encounters remained suspended in time, until they took on a different meaning when Picks decided to move to New Delhi. The team then invited me to collaborate actively with them: to create synesthesias, give their voices a presence in Europe, and help their visions circulate.

​Little by little, I became part of this family.

 

Today, I represent Picks Agency in Europe, supporting the development, circulation and production of its projects. But my role goes beyond representation.

I actively collaborate with the agency’s artists, taking part in their creative processes. This involvement can take different forms: contributing to projects, co-constructing artistic frameworks, or becoming part of the works themselves.

I have, for example, accompanied and participated in Ce jour-là, c’était le 14 février, a project initiated by Lola Songora. I am also involved in Koumba Free’s ongoing project, developed in collaboration with Gruppo Elettrogeno Teatro.

 

Picks Agency is therefore both a representation structure and a space for collaboration, but also an artistic family in which the boundaries between roles — artist, artistic direction, curating and production — remain deliberately fluid.
